460 Competes in Carolina Fall Shootout

Christiansburg, VA - Despite having just three practices and missing some key players from each team 460 Lacrosse headed down to Huntersville and competed in the Carolina Fall Classic.

Our 12U Red team played three games losing to Team 91 Charlotte 2031 and 2030 before finishing the day with an 8-0 win over the Reapers.  This team improved their defensive play while also competing hard throughout the game showing no quit.  This was a great start for our young squad and we are looking forward to them getting back on the field in November.

2028 Red started the day against a very good Team 91 Charlotte playing the closest game they saw all day with a 9-3 loss.  They followed that up with two big wins against NCF Triad (10-2) and True Lake Norman (10-4).  This team continued to show progress as they build for a big finish this fall.

2027 Red showed some tremendous heart and no quit.  They battled and lost two games by a combined three goals.  Missing two top midfielders and a starting attackmen, the team took the "next man-up" mentality and battled to a close finish.  With both attakcmen and middies back for our next tournament this group is bound to take the next step forward this November.

"Our program opted in for this tournament late, but showed some great GRIT." stated founder Panchito Ojeda. "I thought all of our teams gave us a baseline this fall and we are only moving up from here."
