460 Lacrosse Welcomes Piers McGinn as Youth Director

Roanoke, VA – July 11, 2025 — 460 Lacrosse is proud to announce the addition of Piers McGinn as the program’s new Youth Director, further strengthening our mission to grow the game and develop talent across Southwest Virginia.

A local standout and respected leader in the lacrosse community, Piers brings a wealth of experience, passion, and purpose to 460. A native of the Roanoke Valley, Piers played his high school lacrosse at North Cross, where he was a multi-year starter and All VISAA Selection. He continued his playing career at Mount St. Mary's, NJIT, and Seton Hill, where he thrived on and off the field.

After college, Piers returned to the region with a clear goal: grow the sport he loves and give back to the next generation of players. He has coached at both the youth and high school levels and is known for his ability to connect with players, instill fundamentals, and foster a love for the game.

In his role as Youth Director, Piers will oversee all 460 youth teams, help design and implement developmental curriculum, and support coaching staff across the program. He will also lead outreach efforts to expand participation in our Rippers program and ensure every young player has a positive, high-impact lacrosse experience.

“Piers embodies what 460 Lacrosse is all about,” said 460 Lacrosse President, Panchito Ojeda. “He’s a product of this area, he understands our CULTURE, and he’s committed to building something bigger than himself. We couldn’t be more excited to have him leading our youth efforts.”

Piers officially begins his duties this month and will be active across fall programming and recruiting efforts. Parents and players will get the chance to meet him at upcoming practices, clinics, and community events.

Please join us in welcoming Piers McGinn to the 460 Lacrosse family!
