Girls Finish 2nd at Pumpkin Shootout

Christiansburg, VA - Our girls team took to the field after many weeks of practicing to compete at the Pumpkin Shootout in North Carolina.  

Dragon's Teeth (2029 -2031) played in five games dropping their opener to Valley Select before rebounding and winning 4 straight to earn a spot in the championship game.  Despite tough play, the girls ran out of gas to finish second.  Great finish in their first ever tournament!

Meanwhile the Running Rapids (2027-2028) were fired out of a cannon to win their opener.  They lost their second but then rattled off three victories including a win over the #1 Team Coastal seed to get to the championship game.  Facing a tough Axis team, they battled but were unable to secure the win.  Second place finish.

The girls competed on the field and had great results but also had a nice time off building friendships including a visit to the ACC Hall of Fame!  Great weekend ladies.
